Velcro closure makes swapping it on and off a breeze, even with cold fingers in the field. The fit on the fully extended barrel is snug with no sagging or bunching, which is exactly what I needed for protecting that exposed section.

The exposed barrel section on my 100-400 was always the weak point, but this cover fits so precisely you barely notice it's there until you need it. I can pop it on and off in seconds with the Velcro, and it's held up through a full season of dusty field work without slipping.

The Velcro attachment makes this add-on piece ridiculously easy to install—took me ten seconds in the field. It fits snugly over that exposed barrel section when the lens is fully extended, which was exactly the gap I needed covered. Glad I grabbed it to finish off the setup.
