LensCoat® Sigma 500 f4.5

Saw a few scratches from my last trip and decided I needed more than just insurance. The coverage is thick and the camo pattern blends in nicely when I'm shooting in the field. Feels like it'll hold up against bumps when I'm climbing around for a better angle.

The fit on this Sigma 500 is snug enough that it won’t shift during a shoot, and the fabric feels tough against brush and bag zippers. It’s already saved the barrel from a few scrapes on rocky trails, so resale value should hold up nicely.

The camo pattern does a great job breaking up the outline when I’m shooting from a blind, and the fabric feels tough enough to shrug off brush scrapes. It slipped on easily and hasn’t shifted during a full day of hiking with the lens on a gimbal.
