LensCoat® Pentax SMC 1000mm F8.0

The texture feels more heavy-duty than I expected for a lens cover, and the way it wraps around the barrel gives me real peace of mind when I'm hauling this monster in my bag. Scrapes and bumps are exactly what I was worried about, and this thing handles them like a champ. Money well spent.

The fit is snug and precise, covering every curve of the lens without bunching. I feel a lot more confident carrying it through the brush now, knowing the finish is safe from scratches.

Took this out in light rain and the neoprene beaded water instead of soaking through. The fit is snug around the barrel without slipping, and it's saved me a couple of scrapes already when I set the lens down on rocks.
