LensCoat® Pentax FA 300mm f2.8

The fit on this lens cover is impressively snug, so it doesn’t shift around in my bag at all. I’ve already knocked it against a doorframe once and the padding absorbed the scrape completely, which makes me feel a lot better about resale value down the road.

The cutout for the AF/MF switch is spot-on, so I can still adjust focus without exposing the whole lens. Fit is snug but not impossible to get on, and it's already saved the barrel from a few nasty scuffs.

The material is a bit tricky to get perfectly aligned around the lens barrel, but once it's on, it feels solid. It does a good job preventing scratches during hikes.
