The zipper pull is surprisingly sturdy and the fabric fits snugly without feeling tight. I've been using it for a few weeks now and the extra protection has already saved me from a couple of accidental knocks on rocks. It's a relief to not worry about scratches on the barrel.

Bought this to protect my Pentax DA* 300mm before a hiking trip, and the fit is snug without being a fight to get on. It's saved the barrel from a few knocks against rocks already, and the resale value concern is gone.

The neoprene material gives just enough padding to protect the lens without adding bulk, and the cutouts for the focus ring and tripod collar are perfectly aligned. I’ve been using it on a few hikes and it’s already saved the lens from a couple of bumps against rocks.
