LensCoat® Canon 17-40 f/4

Finally got this on my 17-40 and the thermal insulation is a nice bonus during midday shoots. The cutouts for the zoom ring and focus ring line up perfectly, so function isn’t hindered at all.

The cover’s outer texture feels grippy but not sticky, which makes handling the lens in cold weather way more comfortable than bare metal. My 17-40 still slips in and out of my bag without catching on anything, and the extra padding has already saved it from a couple of doorframe knocks.

I was worried it might add too much bulk, but it fits snugly and the thermal insulation is a nice bonus for cold-weather shoots. The protection from minor bumps already saved me once against a doorframe.
